PEI chargers operate from a single reference and maintain constant power (CW mode) when the battery voltage is below the CV level. The charger switches from CW to CV and then to CI modes (and vice-versa) automatically. Graph 1, below, shows the various transition points. Temperature compensation of the battery temperature is included. This results in lower battery voltage at higher temperatures.

All other safety features are same as standard NG & N3G chargers.
